ERG prides itself on consistently providing high quality, cost-effective services to our clients. The following is a summary of selected projects that our key personnel have either managed or technically directed:

CARMEL PARTNERS and McCLELLAN PARK – ERG is currently managing lead based paint abatement activities at 540 homes associated with the former McClellan Air Force Base. The project includes identification of potential environmental liabilities and strategy development associated with property acquisition.

SEWER SYSTEM PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA – Responsible for designing, coding, and implementing a Microsoft Access database to manage and analyze sewer infrastructure information. Data from the County's GIS and Computerized Maintenance Management System was used in conjunction with field surveys and statistical data to develop this application. Developed and presented training materials for continued use of the application by onsite client personnel.

PULLMAN BUILDING COMPANY – Provides site investigation and remediation services for a moderately sized property developer. Projects have included investigation and assessment of human and ecological health risks associated with chemical releases to impacts to soil and ground water in an upscale residential development; and investigation, remediation, and closure of service stations.

THE DESILVA GROUP – Provided investigation and remediation monitoring services associated with the brownfields development of 44 industrialized and agricultural acres in San Leandro.

CALTRANS – Provides site investigation, remediation, and hazardous waste profiling and disposal services for a variety of CalTrans road construction projects.

ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY — Performed the design, specifications and construction documents and obtained all permits for the final compliance phase of OCTA' s fueling systems at three locations. The project included the removal of 28 tanks and the installation of 13 new tanks for diesel, unleaded gasoline, ATF and motor oil, all delivery/dispensing systems and environmental testing. Construction of these projects is complete.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY TRANSIT AUTHORITY - Removed and installed underground diesel fuel storage tanks at the County's mass transit fueling facility. The project included concrete and asphalt demolition, the rerouting of utilities, removal of 13 UST's including (4) 40,000 gallon diesel UST's, shoring, excavation of impacted soil and the installation of (6) 20,000 gallon UST's. Completed all backfill and compaction and concrete resurfacing, fueling system start-up and service.

SAN FRANCISCO PRESIDIO - Implemented the first phase of the facility closure plan associated with final closure of the U.S. Army's Presidio Facility in San Francisco. The project included the closure and removal of 6 underground storage tanks, all associated piping and containment sumps and confined space entry of a 500,000-gallon tank. In addition, the work included the excavation, transportation, and disposal of 2500 cubic yards of contaminated soils and the recycling of more than 1500 cubic yards of material impacted with a variety of contaminants. The project required protection and mitigation of impacts to the local environmentally sensitive and protected areas and the coordination of all onsite activities with three different counties and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

PACCAR CORPORATION - Removed underground storage tanks and associated pipeline, demolition of concrete, shoring and excavation of 3,000 cubic yards of petroleum contaminated soils. Services included demolition and removal of concrete sumps, removal of hydraulic lifts and underground storage tanks, soils excavation and treatment/disposal and site restoration.

COCA COLA CORPORATION - Removed underground storage tanks and associated piping, demolished concrete, and excavated, transported and recycled contaminated soils as part of a project to prepare a large warehouse facility for sale. The work included working with local permit agencies and site restoration of all effected areas including resurfacing.

AYDIN CORPORATION - Implemented an interim remedial action measure at a California state Superfund site in Northern California. The project involved concrete demolition and sump removal, the excavation, and Class 1 disposal of 8,000 tons of soil contaminated with volatile organic compounds, petroleum hydrocarbons, and PCB's. Performed backfill and compaction of the excavated areas, and retrofitted an onsite groundwater extraction and treatment system.

WESTINGHOUSE CORPORATION - Excavated PCB-contaminated soils and decontamination of PCB-contaminated underground pipelines from a federal Superfund site. Performed construction and installation of a groundwater extraction and treatment system, allowing the manufacturing facility to meet EPA mandated groundwater treatment deadlines.

SHELL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION- Excavated arsenic contaminated soils and removed illegally disposed containerized liquids from a federal Superfund site located in a wetlands area. Cooperated with each agency and the property owner to mitigate impacts to wetlands and meet site remediation goals.

RELATED GENERAL PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Numerous underground storage tank excavation and closure and fuel system installation projects for major oil companies, property development organizations, industrial clients, and the public sector. Projects ranged in complexity from single tank sites to large tank and fueling operations.

Installation of contaminated soil and groundwater extraction and treatment systems for major oil companies. Groundwater pump and treatment systems included air strippers, carbon treatment, product recovery systems, and oil/water separators. Vapor extraction and treatment included carbon systems and onsite thermal treatment of extracted vapors. Work scope included all permitting, electrical, plumbing, trenching, excavating, and onsite construction. Projects also included operation, maintenance, and monitoring.

Formal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) closure of an interim status hazardous waste storage facility. The project included preparation of Health and Safety Plans, all site remediation and demolition work and frequent meetings with regulatory agencies.

Remediation of 2,000 cubic yards of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils at the San Francisco International Airport utilizing excavation and biological treatment. The project included the construction of treatment cells, treatment of extracted groundwater and treatment of the soils to regulatory approved treatment levels.

Remediation of several thousand cubic yards of metal-contaminated soils from a California state Superfund site located in the Central Valley utilizing excavation and onsite chemical fixation of the soils. The project also included partial demolition of the existing buildings.
